Martin Newell "Remembering Elvis"
As a child, Martin commenced his singing career at the tender age of 5 years, by joining his mother and entertaining at family parties etc. He took part in the production of "Oliver" in the Fairfield Halls, Croydon. At fourteen he appeared in the Royal Albert Hall, London. He then decided to settle down to serious study in order to create a career in the forces and was successful in joining the Army. It quickly became obvious that Martin had a considerable talent and he was in great demand to perform in many of the clubs and pubs in Dusseldorf, Munster and other venues in Germany.
He has sung in the Canaries, South Africa, mainland Spain, Canada, Sweden, the Greek islands of Corfu, Crete etc., Turkey and Tunisia in addition to many venues in London. On one memorable occasion, he went just as a spectator and was handed the Mike by the entertainer and the audience insisted on more and he sang for the rest of the evening.
However the pinnacle of his career so far was that on a visit to Gracelands, they stayed at "The Heartbreak Hotel" and he was invited to sing in the bar. He was received with rapturous applause. He now intends to concentrate on combining his "Elvis" act with Karaoke etc. as a career. He has recently appeared very successfully in a Tsunami Fund-raiser with Christine Hubbard, International Soprano, who now vocally coaches him.
He is available for functions, corporate entertainment, weddings, barmitzvars and even funerals.
He has two beautiful little girls with his wonderful partner Marny.
